Inaugural NC Science Summit Hosted by NC Pathways Partnership

The North Carolina Pathways Partnership is hosting the inaugural NC Science Summit—a signature event of the NC Science Festival—on April 11, 2013. The Science Summit will provide a platform for science and technology leaders to focus the attention of key leaders on the importance of strengthening science and technology policies and economic development strategies across the state. In addition, panels will address where North Carolina is strong in these pipelines and where attention still needs to be focused.

Summit participants will hear from national thought leaders and state experts, including Craig Giffi, Vice Chairman of Deloitte, LLP; Secretary of Commerce Sharon Decker; Lt. Governor Dan Forest and Joseph DeSimone, Director of the Frank Hawkins Kenan Institute of Private Enterprise.
